“Restaurants near the Bernabéu” means very different things depending on the day. A working lunch on a Tuesday is nothing like dinner after a match with forty thousand people leaving at once. This guide sorts the area by plan, which is how the decision actually gets made.

Inside the stadium
The Bernabéu has its own restaurants, with pitch views and a price to match. They work well if the visit to the stadium is the plan itself and you are booking well ahead. On match days they fill months in advance.
A working lunch on a weekday
What matters here is the clock and the noise. You want a table served in under an hour, a menu that does not require deliberation, and a room where a conversation can be finished. Azca and General Perón cover this best, because they have been feeding these offices for decades. A set lunch is usually the right call.
Before a match
The classic mistake is booking a hundred metres from the stadium and arriving an hour before kick-off. Move five minutes away, book ahead and order sharing plates rather than a long menu. We go into it properly in this guide.
Eating cheaply without settling
Cheap around here does not mean low cost, it means the relationship between what you pay and what you eat makes sense. The set lunch remains the best formula: the same produce as the à la carte menu at a fixed price. Signs it is well made: it genuinely changes daily, there is a stew on it, and the dessert is made in house.
With children, or for a quiet dinner
For families, look for space between tables and a terrace, and avoid the 2 to 3 pm office rush entirely. For dinner, look for a place that does not live off the stadium alone: restaurants tied to the fixture list close early on nights without football. There is more in our guide to eating here with kids.
Getting around the area
- Metro: Santiago Bernabéu (L10), Nuevos Ministerios (L6, L8, L10), Cuzco (L10).
- On match days the Castellana closes in sections; walking up from Nuevos Ministerios is usually faster than driving.
- Parking: the Azca car parks work better than hunting for a street space.

If you want Cantabrian food five minutes from the stadium
La Reinosa sits in exactly the ring this guide keeps pointing at: Avenida General Perón 13, inside Azca, a five-minute walk from the Bernabéu. Rabas, stews, charcoal-grilled meat, charcoal chicken and house cheesecake. Terrace open all year.
